Thanks for the reply Steve... that's a very ingenious solution.
As good as it is, I think for now I'll stick with Cmd+Y and throwing my mask template on that upper track.

For anyone following along: Steve is very right in that when linking, the text has to be identical.
Copy/Paste from the Settings window will help to avoid this gotcha.
