[Avid-L2] SL to Lion. Clean install?

 

Almost ready for this transition so I was reading around on the install of Lion. There is a MacWorld article that says clean install from SL to Lion is not necessary as it used to be in the passed. Wondering what people in the Avid world have done with Macs to move up to Lion and MC/Sym 6
