Changing the display aspect ratio in QuickTime Pro will affect playback in
QuickTime Player; but, it is not guaranteed that other MP4 players will
respect that setting.
I just did a test playing back a scaled movie in VLC, and that player did
NOT respect the modified display aspect ratio, in either a .mov or .mp4
container. Pixels were interpreted as square.
