before my former company switched from Avid to Final Schmuttz, they were #1 in their field and I was winning awards for myself and my clients...since the switch, the network has fallen to 4th, they've laid off 100's. Now I'm back to Avid and booked solid, working myself back up.

Perhaps there's a bit of fan boy Apple cultishness associated with FCP user forums. I'm not really sure. But along with Mike, I'm grateful that whenever I can have a civilized discussion about our tools. They are, after all, just tools, which makes them a means to an end, not the end itself.
