Re: [Avid-L2] Project won't launch from desktop?

I hate them doing that too, because it causes messy sorting as soon as you cross months or years (depending on where you live and how you order day/month).
I always ask them to use 20120507 or 120507 for May 7th, 2012. If you use 07.05.2012 (European style) or 05.07.2012 (Anglo-Saxon style), you can't properly sort in bins or OS windows.

E.g.:

01.01.2012 (Jan 1, 2012)
12.28.2011 (Dec 28, 2011)
12.29.2011 (Dec 29, 2011)
12.30.2011 (Dec 30, 2011)
12.31.2011 (Dec 31, 2011)

versus

20111228
20111229
20111230
20111231
20120101

or, worse (Euro-style)
01.03.2012 (March 1, 2012)
27.02.2012 (Feb 27, 2012)
28.02.2012 (Feb 28, 2012)

versus

20120227
20120228
20120301
