The issue on the iMacs is the Ethernet NICs are different. Make sure you
get the one with the more capable NIC.

Our producers use the latest 27" iMacs w/ the core i7 processors and
they actually run pretty well up against our editors' dual six-core xeon
mac pros. The difference between the i5 and i7 isn't really noticeable.
You'd only be able to see one if you actually timed a transcode or
something like that.
