[Avid-L2] FCP7>Automatic Duck>Media Composer with AMA

 

Query from a acquaintance . . . she's about to edit a documentary on
Media Composer but logging and rough assemblies were done in FCP7 by an
assistant. I tested Auutduck out of FCP, creating an AAF with the AMA
option selected during the export. Sequence arrives fine in MC but all
offline. The only way I can find to connect to the original media is to
AMA the source clips into Media Composer first (that will be a pain with
hundreds of clips) then select sequence and clips and use the 'Relink
selected items in all open bins' option with 'Allow linking of AMA clips
. . .' selected. This works but is there a more elegant way that would
link without pulling hundreds of clips in first?
