Yeah I can't think of a reason why you'd need an email and a password for
the router. Maybe that's operating on an old protocol for authentication -
I don't think cable/DSL modems care about this anymore. With the Airport
setup, you should not have to touch it and you can leave it on forever. If
your modem gets reset though, it's a good idea to cycle the Airport.
