well, EX should have timecode, and that should be ascending. How were they
transcoded?
For 5D, there is my QTchange to add timecode..
But the 5D upnumbers, so if the filenames are intact, you could sift on
that.

Subject: [Avid-L2] ordering digital files
I am importing a bunch of files that were transcoded from EX and also a
bunch of 5D files. I always wondered why the files have such a cryptic
label of seemingly random numbers and letters. But the creation date is
the transcoded date and I need to work on this in a linear fashion so I am
trying to order the clips. Is there a way to order, by date and time,
clips imported from digital sources?
thanks
