That's why I drag V2 to V1 then V3 to V1 etc... That way the merging follows the same pattern the editing thought process was. Of course using the term "thought process" and offline in this case might be stretching it a bit. This thread just reminds me of a motto I have, "Offline is only practice until it gets to online." ;-) Of course I usually just mutter that under my breath when frustrated.
