[Avid-L2] Re: For the love of god, LET IT ROLL.

 

Shirley perhaps you are unaware of a little known deficiency with the 5D's sensor. The jarring nature of a slate clap actually reduces the life span of the chip. So those "In the Know" take every opportunity to avoid shooting the slate. ;-) There is a similar shortening of camera life expectancy when using the White Balance button. At least that's the only way I can explain all the orange and blue video I get to color correct. ;-) "And then I woke up on stage with Eddi Gormet" from the pathological liar SNL
