similar video format (basically XDCAM HD422 but at higher bitrates) also
can't be imported into Avid 6.0.1 when shot at 50fps.
There are two ways to deal with it for Convergent Design - 1) is convert
the .MOV it records (for 720p50) to MXF with their free utility and then
AMA link (as you've done with 5.5), or... 2) Use the Calibrated{Q} XD
Decode plugin for Quicktime to import it using Quicktime.
Given that C300 is shooting MXF that may not work completely, but perhaps a
combination of the XD Decode and MXF import tools with Quicktime could get
you some way there?
Alternatively I tend to believe that FFMpeg can solve anything.
