Love having the individual track levels available, but that should be an option. Also, those new panning dials hardly seem to work on my system and I can't figure out how to get the option-click shortcut for panning to the center to work (must do that about 200 times a day). Nice effort, on the whole, but not quite ready yet.

I had the good fortune to speak with one of the engineers about the pan knob thing just the other day, as I also found it frustrating/confusing. He said that as long as the Audio settings are set to All Tracks Centered, the Opt/Alt-Click on the pan knob should set it to Mid. I had to first reset my Audio settings to All Tracks Centered, quit MC, trash my MCState file, and then it worked.

When creating tone, this also causes some frustration as the two mono tracks I make are auto set to Mono and then sum. In addition to manually panning L/R to fix this, he explained that making that tone clip into a Stereo clip would auto pan the tracks L/R (and it does).

I also made some suggestions:

"I suggest putting the dB numeric display directly under the pan display. Here's why:
1. You can then glance to just one location to get both bits of information about the track at once.
2. Since the Audio Mix Tool can not technically be resized (I was never fond of collapsing it anyway) I, and I expect many others, place the lower portion of the tool off screen to save screen space. With the lower portion off screen I can not type in a dB level. Also, for that reason, it would be beneficial to place the track number menus above each pan knob too."
