That is THE method we recommend for Avid editors who are receiving their
rushes file based as Avid compliant OPatom mxf files from a facility who
is making them on a non Avid system like Clipster or KiPro etc.
Have the Avid make the mdb file by indexing the newly arrived files (if
you make a new numbered folder in your mxf mediafiles folder it wont
reindex all the media you already have) and then pop the resulting .mdb
file in a bin and the bin will fill with the resulting Masterclips.
