Potential client wants me to cut a show on my MC5.5 that involves at
least 3 cameras and up to 10 distinct audio tracks all shot on XDCam.
She has a facility that is doing all of her grouping for free (it's a
low budget for a non profit), but they only work on FCP7.
I know I can string out all the clips into a sequence in FCP and then
bring that over to Avid using Boris AAF Transfer, but I'm not sure if
this will preserve the MultiCam grouping, or blow it away.
The Boris website says "multicam clips come into Avid as straight cuts
with trimming intact". Kind of vague, but I'm guessing that means the
groups don't transfer.
Anyone had any experience with this? Or have a better workflow?
Thanks,
