I have two questions. The first is that I have old DV25 411 miniDV and
Digital 8 tapes I wish to archive on hard drives. Am I right that if I
capture in MC6 as DV25 411 MFX and then export to QuickTime for archiving that
I retain original (bit-for-bit) quality and that only the wrapper has
changed?
Second, these tapes contain movies shot on miniDV tape, edited in Edit DV or
Cinestream and then digitally cut back to tape. There is noticeable interlace
artifact with movement. I assume line order got reversed at some stage and
there is nothing that can be done short of re-edting from original tape. Are
there options in MC6 for the capture or export that might correct this?
Thanks. David.
