[Avid-L2] Re: Windows 8 Conjecture

 

Agreed on all points.

However, Avid is known for "announcing" at NAB -- and "delivering" in June. If W8 drops in late 2011 or very early 2012 -- how far away from that timeline are we?

Furthermore, were I responsible for the Windows dev of MC v.6 -- I'd have to think good and hard about developing for W7 -- knowing full-well that thousands (or tens of thousands) of hours of labor would be staring me in the face just 6-12 months later -- in order to transition to W8.

No matter how you cut it -- that's a tough position to be in.
