Add the dissolve before you go into MP to edit the move. The MP timeline duration will include the dissolve time. Works on dissolves going into and/or out of the MP still effect. Be sure the keyframes are at the very beginning and very end of the MP timeline.

Not to hijack, but I've lost days to Moving Picture trying to overcome animated moves stopping in their tracks at the dissolve point -- when dissolving between two adjacent Moving Picture shots.
I've tried rendering from front to back -- and back to front -- with no repeatable success. I've trying working around the problem by A/B rolling the two Moving Picture shots by putting them on separate video tracks -- but I find it is impossible to replicate the dynamic of a standard dissolve using this technique.
Anyone else have this problem -- or know a solution?
