The conversion LUT for Log-C to Rec. 709 is pre-installed with the software,
and you can write to Avid DNxHD Quicktime files which import quickly into
MC. Writing directly to MXF is also possible with the purchase of the DNxHD
add-on ($500 last I checked.)
The timecode and Reel (Tape) metadata are preserved for finishing.
Even with a single GPU, the software performs pretty admirably... definitely
worth a look.
The only caveat is that the software does not pass audio while transcoding,
so you would need to sync your dailies in Media Composer, though you would
likely do that anyway since the audio is recorded to a separate device.
