I'm a percussionist and have been for many decades -- so I'm quite comfortable with determining musical time signatures and logical edit points.
And, yes, the show durations are determined by the content -- and they simply must end -- when the content ends.
More importantly, a good portion of this producer's work would be best characterized as high-volume, commodity-based work -- that has insanely compressed postproduction schedules -- and the media has a somewhat limited shelf life.
So, with all of that -- and his complete willingness to accept a somewhat automated cut down -- I typically fight my natural obsession for perfection -- and allow the compromise.
Video Helper's music library looks interesting. I'll dig a little deeper.
