If you hold "option + C" Mac, "ALT + C" PC It automatically loads the selection in the source skipping the "clipboard contents" action.
You can map the ALT or Option modifiers to a key also. I have the ALT modifier mapped to my "C" key so just hitting "C" loads the selection in my source monitor.
