RE: [Avid-L2] Pepper Post

It also creates very high expectations from clients, who are getting more and more ratty about insignificant little details about their experience and trying to use these as a means of getting money off the job. A few of the bigger places I've been to in soho (no names) are ridiculously plush - one of them had the name of their company etched - ETCHED - into their glass mineral water bottles! They want the moon on a stick, five star hotel surroundings and the cheapest possible rates, it's no good for the business i tells ya!

Yes they were serious players but like several others in London, often get

into financial trouble and get bailed out several times. This means that

they are offering a service which doesn't relate to the money they charge

which has a very bad effect on others trying to offer the services at a

sensible price. They become very difficult to compete with when their

business model fundamentally doesn't work but always manage to find someone

foolish enough to sink more money in thinking TV/Film is a good business to

be in.

Ah, I had heard about fancy parties at Cannes.

Still, they were a serious player, weren't they?
