You could look into the Smart Collection and put the "bin" into filmstrip mode and see a filmstrip view of all the clips in that bin, strung out to skim through. So yes.

Flexible compound searching as it's all based on Queries anyway.

Probably. :) Would be nice if anyone (including me) had answers that were more than inference and guesses though. But having the high resolution screen shots Apple sent me, there does not appear to be anything but Smart collections based on the keywords.
In fact dragging a clip to a smart collection adds the keyword of that collection to that clip, "adding it to the bin".
