Stop spreading FUD, please.
Avid was completely forthcoming as to the reasoning behind the change
in ScriptSync bundling. *They* license the technology from Nexedia and
the license fee went up. You might not like it but I saw no bait and
switch.
We have 50+ edit systems at CBS Hard News. I know of only two editors
who have ever used Script Sync. Why should the per system cost of the
other 48 edit clients go up? If I need two ScriptSync/PhraseFind
licenses, I can justify that expense much more easily.
