covered by the increased color corrector. The time savings can actually be
measured, and time is money.
Agreed. Especially in promos. That's part of the motivation for streamlining
the workflow.

That I understand also. However, if you believe in the future of Media
Composer, and you can recoup the cost difference between the two systems in
less than a year, then what difference does it make? I doubt Avid is going
to roll the Symphony into MC at this NAB.
My understanding is that all of the major announcements have basically been
made. And I agree: it fits the workflow now and will continue to do so for
awhile.
Now choosing Avid over Apple or Adobe? That is an entirely different
conversation.
We're Final Cut right now but finishing in Final Cut has proved to be
frustrating, hence the switch.
