QT Text is ignored; QT transitions in files are ignored, QT filters in files are ignored. QT wired sprites are ignored. Mutliple video tracks are ignored (2nd and subsequent).
FCP supports a small subset of the greater QT functionality. Although it's kind of a moot point (unimportant) because most of that "QT Functionality" will go away as I really doubt Apple will bother to re-invent it as no-one uses it much (other than us) and more can now be done with Javascript and QT and Canvas etc than in "the old" QT.

An XML text file, and a QT movie all at the same time. :)

QT won't go, it's being "replaced" (but keep the name) with AVFoundation from iOS. At least that's my expectation (and that the iOS frameworks have references to 10.7 Lion)
