Oliver,
Just checked... (I don't edit with them, i just got a few to work out the
anomalies...)
The testclips i got are Prores 4444 for the 'real' stuff, and a ProRes SD
for Proxy.
(i assume they both came from the cam, since the guy asking me works on set
with these files)

Now in the 'old' version (meaning, a couple of months ago), the 4444 files
were locked.
That means, no QT magic on them.
Turning off the lock would render the files corrupt by even reading their
TC.
That made the offline proxies kinda usefull...

These aren't proxies, but in fact full-quality, master files. Unless you use
the raw workflow, which hasn't been turned on, the ProRes files are it.
Therefore CC should be high-quality unless you are using an offline/online
workflow. Even the Nick Shaw FCP LUTs are "disclaimed" as for offline only,
since they are 8-bit. Nevertheless, they are probably good enough for many
applications.
