Friday I was using media tool on my mbp os 10.6.4 mc 5.0.3.7r and it would stop working after using it on a few different projects. Quiting mc didn't help. Only a mbp restart got it working. The problem repeated about every two project I media managed Sure seemed like a memory leak to me. I don't know if this is new behavior with 7r.
