Re: [Avid-L2] Re: Lightworks "Open Source" NLE Beta now available

I think there's a number of potential advantages with open-source software, because Apple/Avid/Adobe can't make one product that fits everyone's needs. With open-source, someone can say "I need my NLE to do this!", and a third-party developer can whip together a solution for them.

That said, however, wasn't the pull of the original Lightworks the control surface? Is that still around with the new one?
