Re: [Avid-L2] Connecting to a Unity ethernet workspace over a mac network to host computer

Hi John,

I've got two suggestions. First, you might be able to explicitly add
the workspaces to your shared folders in System Preferences. Secondly
(and better, if it works), you might be able to connect directly to the
Unity Portserver using SMB. Go to "Conect to Server" in your laptop's
"Go" menu and enter smb://IPAddressOfUnity. If there is a Portserver
running it will ask you to log in (for which you use a normal Unity user
account). This depends on the version of Unity you are running, and I'd
guess from the way you describe the setup that this is an old Lanshare,
in which case I don't think it will work, but even so, it takes ten
seconds to check.
