AMA is based on drive letters so shared storage can be problematic.

Subject: [Avid-L2] AMA frustation
I can't count on AMA files to always show up for work. In two projects, they
just don't keep their link.
In one project, it's only a single ProRes QT. Every time I open the project,
I
have to relink to the QT to turn the master AMA clip yellow.
In another project, we created multiple AMA bins in one edit suite from P2
and
XDCAM EX files (we have two Symph5 on Unity V4). When we opened it in the
other
edit suite the next day, all AMA clips were offline. Same routine.
All source media is located on Unity workspaces in their original folder
structures. What's up with this? Is AMA just that unreliable? Once I get an
edit
done, I transcode. But it's a PITA to get there some days. I must be doing
something wrong.
