Maybe you could look at it another way. I guess 90% of the people using MC
don't use script sync so why would they want to pay for a feature they just
aren't going to use. Maybe MC is cheaper now that it isn't included?

And $995 isn't that expensive if it is useful for you. People buy pluggins
for MC that cost more than MC.

I understand their position, but it's a bit insane from the user's point of
view. Who is going to buy ScriptSync for $995 (half the price of Media
Composer...) without trying it? Also, the choice Avid made for that licence
scheme reminds me sooo much of their "old management": milk the customers
who use your products as they don't have any alternative...

The FAQ on the Knowledge base doesn't talk about one thing: how do I
activate ScriptSync if I use a dongle which I move around between at least 2
systems regularly?
