Re: [Avid-L2] Import Sony files

I've never encountered that before - are the files ending with a .BDMV
extension or .MTS? BDMV stuff is generally related to Blu-ray, but I believe
some Sony consumer cameras may record media in a Blu-ray ready package.

It seems most likely that they are AVCHD files - Media Composer 5 add
support for AVCHD (although not with AMA, but it can import them).

Otherwise you'd need to look an one of the very many tools which will
convert various AVCHD files in to more friendly formats.

If you can provide a smallish sample file somewhere I'd be happy to download
and let you know what I can figure out.
