My wife and I are members of the LA Conservancy. Each spring they run
a program called 'Last Remaining Seats,' where they show old movies in
the old theaters on Broadway - fundraising for their preservation
efforts.

Tonight's movie is 'The Graduate,' at the Los Angeles Theater, which I
was really looking forward to, but I'll be stuck at work too late to
make. (Normally the movies are older, but the conservancy is
celebrating the 60's this year.)
It's really a treat to see these awesome movies with a full house at
these wonderful old theaters. The Los Angeles Theater seems to have
decent projection, too- and the conservancy often has a print loaned
from the studio.
The tickets are already paid for, but it's a great movie and it seems
a waste to leave the seats empty - so I'd love to GIVE them to someone
who can pick them up on their way downtown (or facility is on Adams at
the eastern edge of Culver City.)
I have 4 tickets - the doors open at 7, line starts to form around
6-6:15, show starts about 8.
Please email me off list if you're a fan of old movies in old
theaters, or just want to see 'The Graduate' on the big screen, and
are sure you can make it tonight. You'll need to come by the office
to pick up the tickets on your way downtown.
