it myself.)
I'll take it you get stuff recorded with Boom recorder?
(I have not seen much interesting metata in the (mostly Sound Devices) BWF's
i have)
But, do try for yourself using the demo:
http://www.videotoolshed.com/product/26/fcp-auxtc-reader
There is a windows version now.
(As i mainly work on windows, and it will be handy for DSLR work, Avid's way
of storing AUX TC needs a different TapeName for each clip and that drives
me crazy)
You don't need the FCPauxTC reader app itself, but the second app, BWF_QT
merge.
This is intended to paste Bwf inside the QT's, but it also can create QT
audio only from BWF.
There is NO transcoding! It's the same as opening a BWF in QTpro, and save
it as QT.
Only difference is that this app. also creates a QT TC track based on the
BWF time info.
No idea if you need a Reel name in the QT as well, but if so, for now
QTchange can do that for you.
Also, no idea how the import goes in Avid, have not tried it.
But, MetaCheater or QTchange can make an ALE from the QT's
(perhaps QTchange can be altered to make an ALE out of BWF's if needed.)
Again, no ide what you want to accomplish, but toy with this, if you need
something special, do ask.
