Hi John,

What about creating an Action that resizes the canvas for you?
Then it'd be just one click or button-push.

Also... (and please let me know if there's a downside to this) I
haven't manually created an Alpha in ages.
Any area that is transparent in PS will be transparent in Avid.
My workflow, generally, is to have one PS doc with all the layers in
an editable state and then to create another doc for import purposes
where FX are merged with the the separate layers; and if it's just a
one-layer creation, then I tend to save out as .png and import that
into Avid.
