Re: [Avid-L2] Export to XDCAM file, no drive

talking to people who deal with XDCAM on a daily basis, you have to think of the XDCAM deck as a dongle. If you have it connected, you can export. No can do without it connected. Must be Sony's way of selling more devices.

Subject: [Avid-L2] Export to XDCAM file, no drive

Why can the Avid not export to a Sony XDCAM HD MXF file? If I don't have
a device connected to my computer when I'm ready to export I'd still
like to be able to export them to the desktop. I can use FTP or other
method to get those files onto the disc later on. Or is there a way?
