Well the client was in "a big hurry" so they took the tape elsewhere,
TERRY - yes, we are feeding trilevel sync, but when you say the converted output connectors, are you refering to the 'FORMAT CONV OUTPUT' connectors on the lower right hand side of the back of the 5500 ?
There are two of them there - surrounded by a blue like border - and the word 'OPTIONAL' is next to them.
I'm thinking thats what you meant, and guess what - there is NOTHING hooked onto them, thats right, no cables going anywhere from those two BNC's...thats our first problem.
Thanks for showing us where to look - now I need to get our engineers to make use of it.
