[Avid-L2] Re: Avid Pan and Zoom - Zoom in Issues

Thank you for all your replies.

Basically I am using a 2K file but at 300dpi therefore it is about 4 times an HD file size.
My real question derives from a repeated client question which is that when the client shows me what he wants in photoshop, the file renders perfectly. When I replicate the same zoom on the same file in pan and zoom, it becomes very soft or has some wierd halo effect. The files are illustrations so I do not have a moire problem.

My question is really about how apps like photoshop render images. I think that they rely on the GPU is get excellent results. I presume that avid only uses the render types (gaussian etc) that give a less satisfactory result. But I don't know much about how about apps display files though.
