[Avid-L2] MC recapture Hi Res

I'm working on a show that captured low res footage to mxf files.
transfered to a different machine. did some editing, and now needs to
have the footage replaced with High Res. (online) so, using the
original MC that did the initial capture, my client recaptured (or the
tape assist did) the material in HD.
So my problem now is, does the MC recapture the clip/media with the
same name? will the association between clip and media be the same by
just replacing the low res mxf with the high res?
