That's a qualified setup. Odd to see it on the S/R monitors, more
common to see it in full screen. There is a bug documented there.

I have NOT seen this yet on 4.05 macs, so can we assume you have noodled
with all the video display settings (Delay, Open GL, Scaling,..).

Is it multicam or mixed format material? Native to the project raster?

Could just be overloading the system. When stressed, the system will
rob the confidence monitors of horsepower to give it to the I/O stream.
You could try

- lower monitor resolution and see if the issue is related to GPU
capacity.
- Flop the monitor settings too.
- turn off any timeline settings and tools that normally choke things

If you're only pushing healthy single-stream, plain vanilla HD footage
you might be looking at a storage issue or an attached device
conflicting with the video card.

What does Avid have to say? Did they offer you any console tricks for
this, like the prerender command?
