I don't have that deck but pretty much every Sony decks must be manually
set to the proper frequency. And if you need pulldown conversion make
sure the deck is capable and set (some decks require optional boards).
For example the J-H3 HDCAM player deck must be set to 1080/23.976p PD
instead of just 1080/23.976p in order to get a 1080i/59.94 HD-SDI signal
from a 1080p/23.976p tape.
