Just out of curiosity, did the monitors provide a white temperature
setting? and how were they set?
Which BVM's did you look at? I noticed the BVML231 and BVML170 use LED
backlights. This could well account for the warmer color. Fluorescent lamps
typically have higher levels of green than other sources. I also remember
that the PVM CRT's always had a green cast to them.

There is a dirty little secret I learned the last time we did a monitor
evaluation. As you know, our eyes adapt quite well to different color
temperatures which makes it hard to see them. However, cameras don't. If you see a
shot with all of the monitors in it, you can see how far off their general
color temperature is from each other.

Last time the Sony's were greener than all the other monitors. This time
they were warmer. This is an overall color temperature regardless of what
picture is on the screen.
