Not sure. The manufacturers were responsible to set their monitors up. The Sony tech was in there for about 30 minutes with his own sync generator and probe before we started.

The BVM L231 was in the comparison room. Sony also had the 170 in another room with an L series monitor.

When I saw this at our last review in 2007, the BVM was green even with the LED backlights and the same tech setting it up. It was really weird to see. In the same shot was the BVM, a plasma, a BVM CRT and a PVM CRT. They were all blue as would be expected on a camera set to 32K, except the BVM LCD which was green.
Either they have changed the monitor itself, or the Sony tech is doing something differently in setting them up now.
For what it's worth, all the monitors looked better than our 2007 shoot out. So there is improvement. If money didn't matter, I would take the Sony BVM over the others.
