There was Sebsky Tools from Darma Films to assist with QT time codes from
Avid - FCP.

Sebsky Tools from Dharma Film (www.dharmafilm.com) is a great freeware
application intended to solve the problem of moving editing projects between
Avid Media Composer and Apple Final Cut Pro systems. Sebsky Tools works with
QuickTime movies in PAL, NTSC, and 24 fps formats, manages conversions
between Avid's ALE shot logs and Final Cut Pro's batch lists, and adds
timecode and metadata to QuickTime movies, to facilitate moving media
between the two systems.

Recently I received an email thanking me for posting a link to download the
program Sebsky Tools. After doing some research I have discovered that
Dharma Films is no more. Since I believe this tool to be so important I have
provided a download of the last known release of the software.
