[Avid-L2] Weird new problem-

I'm sure this is something obvious... but whenever I use 'sequence
time' in my digital output tool, (Symphony 4.05, DX) in a 23.98
project with an SR recorder, my time code jumps to the wrong time -
like an offset or something. Doesn't happen when I output the exact
same sequence to DVW-500 (with pulldown and downconvert added through
the output) Is there a bug in that machine control setting? (The
machine's cuing and editing correctly, etc - so it's not a problem
with the deck itself, or one assumes through inference, reference.)

Any ideas about this? The Avid makes this calculation even when I
change the VTR settings to HDW1800 24 or almost any other deck.
