The Dutch are cheap, but we are so cheap that we do math before we decide
what is the cheapest.
(Endemol is SO CHEAP that they even have hired me to streamline some
workflows. And they paid what i've asked without negotiation, as the time to
negociate would be more expensive than just pay me what i've asked.)
Bunim-Murray is still FCP, but Endemol bought it. It's just a matter of time
before they are forced to make the switch.
(that's a personal guess, i don't have any actual info on it...)

I don't know if they're TOTALLY getting their asses kicked in non-scripted.
I was just up at Endemol last week where they post "Wipeout" and "Extreme
Makeover: Home Edition" (other Endemol shows are cut elsewhere) and it's
wall-to-wall Avids. Not an FCP in sight.
I offer this observation purely anecdotally, untied to any real research.

Agreed, but they are also getting nailed in non scripted television. Part of
the problem is that people still perceive Avid to be very expensive, and FCP
to be a cost cutting solution. That just isn't true anymore. The small
difference in actual cost, is easily eliminated in the efficiency of Avid in
a multiuser environment.
Marketing has to get that cost message out. "This isn't your Father's
Avid..."
