Thanks Sue,

Reminded me of when I stopped working for nothing. Doing stage in LA
(running lights at a theatre of Santa Monica) when I got offered the chance to
stage manage King Lear.

I asked what it paid.

Silence....well we might be able to cover gas money,

My response, "Sorry, I have to eat."

There is always somebody willing to pay you nothing, if you let them.
