Oliver you are a FCP guru. Last night I worked on the Fox show "House" as a Data/DIT. We where using HVX-200 P2 cameras in 720P 24P Native mode. To check data integrety I was importing to FCP as a clip test. We also use the Panansonic P2 download application for testing the clips. The import into FCP was glacial. Mac was running Leopard but I'm not sure of FCP's version. Also not sure what Mac laptop we had. I was slammed b#!*s to the wall. Is this normal? I gave up on FCP.
