Copied full disk structure to storage (in background) and then linked via AMA.
Overnight consolidated (native XDCam codec) the AMA bins - which put it on the Unity in a more avid friendly form.
Any sequences with XDcam cut in had a final mixdown to DNX (which is usually just about as quick as rendering and gives you a nice solid master clip) for transfer to EVS.
No problems (other than bits of clips sometimes going offline - which was fixed with a CPR that made a later release I'm sure).
Didn't have to 're-link' though so can't answer as to whether that would be a problem going forward. And we were mostly DNX native material - with about 20 XDcam discs.
